It is possible to order specific numbers for business or personal use. These range in price from £47 to over £500 as a one-off fee for allocating a number to you. The available numbers are in the 0870 74* **** range where you can choose numbers to replace the *'s. You can request these numbers through us and once connected they will follow the same pattern as regular numbers, you do not get any extra revenue for having such a number.
Because demand for these is so high we can only get a short 'reserve' on any given number - if someone else requests the same number then they may sign up for it once the 'reserve' expires. Once you say 'yes' to the price we require you to send a cheque to the office before the number is activated, it will be reserved as a firm 'buy' at that point for a further 48 hours only.
You can also make words from the alphabetical characters that appear on some telephones - 08707 GORDON would be 0870 746 7366 for example. These have to be restricted to numbers starting 0870 74 with five digits after that. Be creative and see what you can make. If you do want a number like this then remember it can only be 0870 74* ****, please do not ask for others as they are not available via us. Email us directly, do not use the automated page as this will simply give a standard number by default. Most of the numbers in the 0870 740, 741, 742 and 747 ranges seem to have gone already so try and avoid these if possible as we would only come back saying it is not available.
It is stressed here that we do not impose the charge, this is paid direct to the telco who issue the numbers.
As a rough guide - numbers with repeating digits like 0870 741 9191 are a higher price than 0870 742 5829 for example, numbers which have a memorable sequence such as 0870 74 75 76 7 or 0870 744 0744 are even higher prices. We usually have a small range of Gold numbers on stock, please email for the current list.
Unlike other companies offering Gold 0870 numbers, we currently do NOT impose a repeating charge on Gold numbers. You pay a one-off setup fee, and that is all. We have seen prices of £300 per quarter being charged on other websites. However, this may change in the future depending on our supplier.
The prices are charged by the telco, not ourselves, and depend on the number requested. All prices will be advised in UK Pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT and other charges.
